Berita 24 English -  One singer was crushed and others were trapped on stage during a concert by well-known Hong Kong boyband, Mirror on Thursday. This incident prompted a government investigation and the cancellation of future performances.

According to local broadcaster RTHK, at least two dancers were hurt, with one in critical condition and the other stable. Local media stated that three spectators also suffered injuries. Many viewers were moved to tears by the terrifying scenes.

"The incident has me in disbelief. I send my condolences to those who were hurt and wish them a speedy recovery "John Lee, the chief executive of Hong Kong, said on Friday.

He declared that in order to safeguard performers, employees, and the general public, the government would look into and reassess safety protocols.

The event will be postponed until the stage structure is secure, according to Kevin Yeung, the city's secretary of culture. The event organiser claimed in a statement that the government's leisure agency had already gotten in touch with him regarding other stage mishaps in recent days.

The wildly successful cantopop group, which was created in 2018 as a result of a reality television programme, had 12 shows scheduled at Hong Kong's Coliseum, which is located close to Victoria Harbour.

According to the campaign's website, more than 13,000 fans of Mirror joined an online petition requesting that the concert organiser fix the issues and guarantee the security of every musician.

MakerVille, the event promoter owned by PCCW Media Group, a subsidiary of Hong Kong businessman Richard Li, said it was fully looking into the accident's circumstances.

"We sincerely apologise if the incident worried viewers or other people who were impacted."
