Berita 24 English -The National Health Commission said on Wednesday that China recorded 338 new COVID-19 infections on July 12—98 of which were symptomatic and 240 of which were asymptomatic.

Comparatively, China lists 107 symptomatic and 317 asymptomatic infections, totaling 424 new cases a day earlier.

The number of fatalities in the country remained at 5,226 due to no additional deaths, the same as the day before.

Tuesday marked the confirmation of 226,909 patients exhibiting symptoms on the Chinese mainland.

Beijing, the capital of China, reported no new local symptomatic cases compared to zero the day before, and no new local asymptomatic cases compared to zero the day before, according to the local administration.

Local government data showed that Shanghai reported 50 local asymptomatic instances as opposed to 54 the day before, and five new local symptomatic cases as opposed to five the day before.

In isolated areas, there were reports of every Shanghai case.
