Berita 24 English - Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, said her meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping was a wonderful opportunity to speak openly about human rights issues.

Xi chatted with Bachelet by video on Wednesday, during a visit that has been criticized by rights groups and described as a mistake by the US.

"Human rights, justice, and inclusion of all, without exception, must be at the core of growth, peace, and security," Bachelet wrote in a tweet on Wednesday.
